Liver Cancer

Objectives and Strategies

Objective: Reduce the incidence rate of liver cancer from 7.2 to 6.5 per 100,000 people by 2025 and to 5.76 per 100,000 people by 2030 (baseline: 2017 Ohio Cancer Incidence Surveillance System, OCISS).

Objective: Reduce the percentage of Ohioans diagnosed with late stage liver cancer from 40.3% to 36.8% in 2025 and 33.3% in 2030 (baseline: 2017 OCISS).

Objective: Increase the percentage of adults screened for hepatitis C from 0.87% to 20% in 2025 and 40% in 2030 (baseline: 2019 electronic health record data from OhioHealth and Promedica).
